Fact Sheet

  • Diving

A minimum of three dives a day are programmed with the added option of a dusk or night dive. With the longer days in summer, a fourth dive may be added to the day time diving agenda.
80% of the diving is done by zodiac in two groups so as to avoid crowding at the diving sites. The effort is made to tailor the diving agenda around the guests’ diving abilities and previous experience in order to offer a unique and pleasurable diving experience.

  • Diving and Weather

During certain months the weather in the Red Sea can be unpredictable and change rapidly within minutes. The M. Y. Juliet skipper will take great care to predict unsavoury weather and under such circumstances the dive itinerary and routing may have to be compromised. Most Red Sea wrecks tend to lie in exposed locations with navigational hazards and these will be the first sites not to be included should adverse weather conditions be predicted. At all times the skipper’s decision on routing is final as it is his main priority to ensure the safety of the guests on board.

  • Food & Drinks

The M. Y. Juliet offers full board accommodation. Guests with special dietary requirements should mention this when booking their charter. Water, tea and coffee are available on board at no extra charge. Beer and spirits are to be provided by the guests and can be purchased at the duty free shop upon arrival at Sharm El Sheikh.

  • Showers

When the boats go to sea they do not intend to return to port until you disembark. The amount of water you have onboard should be enough for the maximum capacity of guests to be able to have one short shower per day.
Where there are showers on deck they can be used to rinse off your face & hair, cameras, regulators & computers.
Although we have just installed a desalination machine onboard producing 2000 Liters of water per day, moderate use of water is always recommended.

  • Medical

The boats carry a comprehensive medical kit and emergency DAN O2 kit . Remember to bring sun-lotion, even in winter when there can be a cold wind, you can burn. If snorkeling it is a good idea to wear a white T-shirt to reflect the surface ultra-violet rays.

  • Confirmation your booking

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and the balance to be settled a minimum of 30 days prior the departure.. Whatever emails we might send to each other, even with the word "confirmed", please note that these are all just pending confirmations and your booking is not fully confirmed until we receive the deposit required, and we have expressly signified our acceptance of your booking.

  • Mechanical failure / Minimum number / Movements Restrictions

    - Liveaboards over the world, by their very nature, no matter how well maintained, can suffer mechanical failures, which can cause disruption whilst you are on charter or might even just before the start of the trip. There is an engineer onboard and in the event of a mechanical failure he will do his utmost to cause as little inconvenience as possible to the guests and their diving program.
    - As all the Liveaboard trips in the red sea, they operate subject to a minimum number of bookings and unless you are a full group, your booking depends on other clients bookings that might cancel their booking at any time.
    - Liveaboards would normally have their annual maintenances in different areas other than their original areas, (normally at Suez Dry dock). Rarely, there might be movements restrictions to their original areas, weather restrictions, dry dock services are being not available to move liveaboards to sea side again.... ETC
    - In the unlikely event of your chosen boat not being available for any of the 3 above reasons, we undertake to provide an alternative boat of a category at least as high as the one agreed (if available). If not, we can offer a replacement holiday based on daily diving trips and accommodation in a good hotel in Sharm el sheikh, or returning to you all money paid plus bank transfer fees.
